Who are these guys?
As Chiefs fans, we've weathered the losses of great players and great chemistry on the field. We've also lost one of the best owners in football history. The Cheifs were about commitment and wit.. the teams of the 90s were smart teams, they were exciting, they had a zest and a flare. As Cheifs fans we've seen it all go down the drain slowly. We've dealt with great regular season records and dissappointing heart wrenching losses in the post season. We've cheered and shared tears together. We felt our players injuries, their accomplishments, as would a family.... But that time sadly enough is no longer. When we lost Derrick, we never recovered on defense. When we lost coaches like Marty and Vermeil, we lost leadership. When we lost one of the best owners in the NFL, we lost spirit. I dont know who these guys are on the field in red and gold anymore. They have no resemblence to the heart and soul of what it meant to wake up Sunday morning 6 hours before the game, drive out in the frigid temps, find a parking spot and await your fellow Chiefs fan to share the excitement of just being at Arrowhead and knowing you were in for a great game. The only thing I heard worth noting in the pre-season from Haley was that no one had made the team leading into the last pre-season game. Would appear the jury is still out to lunch on that one. Including the judge himself. ...Dont know who those guys are in the red jerseys posing as Chief players, but they certainly dont honor what came before them... The last several years have been extremely difficult to digest. Watching the heart and soul of true blood sweat and tears turn to a debacle. These guys dont realize that any one of us would have paid our every last cent just to be on the sidelines of Cheifs past. And they are getting paid for this?.. each player should stand at the gates at the end of games and make out personal checks to the fans as repercussions.
